Madagascar paradise flycatcher male (Terpsiphone mutata) perched on a branch. This flycatcher is found in Madagascar and the Comoros Islands. Like most flycatchers, it swoops down on insects from a perch. This is the black-backed white morph (a colour variation). The male's long white tail feathers and blue eye ring are seen. Photographed in Kirindy reserve, western Madagascar. | |
