Skeleton of a Eurasian beaver (Castor fiber), a rodent that lives a semi aquatic life, both onshore and in freshwater habitats. There are two nearly similar species living today, the North American beaver and the Eurasian beaver. They are known for their superb capacity to fell plants and trees with their sharp teeth, using the tree stems to build dams in waterways, that serve them for protection and securing food. | |
