The charcoal and silver is the area seen here. The silver has an antimicrobial action that kills bacteria in the wound. This dressing is also designed to absorb toxins and to reduce the smell of a wound. Actisorb Silver is used on malodorous, infected wounds, including fungal lesions, faecal fistulae, infected pressure sores, and leg ulcers.
