Rim of Endeavour Crater on Mars, as seen by the panoramic camera on the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. The view looks northwards back toward part of the west rim of Endeavour Crater that the rover drove along, heading southward, during the summer of 2014. The rover's tracks are visible at lower right. This image was obtained on 15 August 2014, on the 3754th Martian day the rover had spent on Mars. Opportunity landed on Mars on 25 January 2004. It is still operating as of 2018, having travelled over 45 kilometres in the 14 years it has been exploring the surface of Mars. | |
