Common genet (Genetta genetta) in a woodland area. This viverrid is a small cat-like mammal. It is native to Africa, but was introduced to south-western Europe around 1000 years ago. It is omnivorous, feeding on a range of small animals and fruit. The common genet reaches a body length of around 50 centimetres. Photographed in Catalonia, Spain. | |
