Mildred Catherine Rebstock (1919-2011), US chemist. Rebstock obtained her doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She worked for the Parke-Davis research laboratories from 1945 to 1977, with her most famous discovery being the synthesis of chloromycetin, the world's first synthetically engineered antibiotic.
