Lucile Petry Leone (1902-1999), US nurse. Leone retired in 1966 as Assistant Surgeon General and Chief Nurse Officer of the US Public Health Service, where she had worked since 1941. She was the founding director of the US Cadet Nurse Corps, which recruited and trained nurses during World War II. Photographed in November 1955. | |
