Eczema on the sole of the foot of a 62 year old male patient. Eczema is an inflammation of the skin that causes flaking, itching and the development of small blisters. It may be caused by allergic reactions to some materials or drugs, although the majority of cases have no known cause. Soothing ointments may relieve the itching, but treatment should be aimed at the underlying cause. | |
