Trogosus, illustration. This large bear-like tillodont is an extinct prehistoric mammal that had rodent-like teeth and clawed feet. It was herbivorous, and had a skull around 35 centimetres long. It was found in what is now Wyoming, USA, during the Middle Eocene. Its fossils date to between 54 and 33 million years ago. | |
