The Chinga meteorite came down in the area of the Chinge river in the Tuva province of Southern Russia, near the Mongolian border. It is an iron (83 %) meteorite with a relatively high content of nickel (16, 6 %), a type of meteorite known as an achondrite. Actual height of this fragment is 14 cm. | |
