Montezuma Castle National Monument, Arizona, USA. This prehistoric castle ruin was built into limestone cliffs by the Sinagua Indians around 1400 AD. It is five stories high and contains 20 rooms. It is the last known settlement of the Sinagua people. The area was declared a US national monument in 1906. | |
