A rule is set from the light gate vertically and the student releases a card from a particular height so that it falls through the light gate. The light gate is connected to a motion computer, an instrument that stores and calculates times, speeds and accelerations. The freefall velocity of an object from different heights allows acceleration, due to gravity, to be calculated. Electricity is supplied by a standard laboratory power supply. | |
