In this experiment the indicator methyl orange is used. A flask with an base solution of sodium hydroxide is titrated with a solution of sulfuric acid to achieve a solution of pH 3.5, the end point for methyl orange indicator. The funnel is used to add acid to the burette and the sodium hydroxide has been added to the conical flask with a bulb pipette. | |
