The balanced rock or, Logan Rock (rocking stone) near Treen in Cornwall. Until a group of British seamen deliberately dislodged the rock in 1824 the 80 ton granite boulder actually rocked. Complaints from local villagers, for whom the rock was a lucrative tourist attraction, forced the seamen to restore the rock to its original position. | |
