Many grains, which are the seeds of the plant, are found on each ear of barley. Barley is a widely cultivated cereal crop that is grown for human and animal consumption. It is a good source of carbohydrate, soluble fibre, vitamin E and many B vitamins, as well as a variety of minerals.
