| CS gas. Molecular model of 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile (C10.H5.Cl.N2), the key component of CS gas, also called tear gas. Exposure to this chemical causes a burning sensation in the nose, mouth and throat, and causes severe watering (tears) in the eyes. It is used as a riot control agent.
