Soman. Molecular model of the chemical soman (C7.H16.F.O2.P), an extremely toxic nerve agent similar to sarin. It acts by inhibiting the cholinesterase enzyme. It is banned as a potential chemical weapon. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), oxygen (red), fluorine (cyan) and phosphorus (orange).
