Slab of limestone exhibiting fossil shrimp of genus Carpopenaeus callirostris, now extinct. Well preserved and typical for these shrimp are the long antennae and slender legs. Found in Cenomanian (Cretaceous) deposits 95 milliom years old near Hajoula, Libanon. Actual width of slab is 34 cm. | |
