Brown bear (Ursus arctos). Patches of white-tipped hair give this bear a grizzled appearance. These grizzled brown bears are found in North America, and are called grizzly bears. They can be over 2 metres tall and can weigh over 300 kilograms. Brown bears are mainly vegetarian and feed on a wide variety of plants, but they will also eat meat when available, both by hunting and by scavenging for carrion.
