Bottlenose dolphins. Time-lapse image of swimming bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). They live in temperate and tropical waters. Typically they are found in groups of 10 to 15 individuals, but much larger groups have been seen. Bottlenose dolphins are known to frolic around ships and seem to enjoy human company in the water, showing no fear. They mainly eat fish, which they catch during agile chases. Tests have shown them to be highly intelligent. Photographed in Milford Sound,New Zealand | |
