White-footed mouse (Peromyscus leucopus) standing on moss. White-footed mice are nocturnal and live in the forests,grassland and bushy areas of eastern,southern and central USA. During spring they eat seeds,fruits and insects. During the winter months,insects,spiders and centipedes make up most of their diet.
