Black swan (Cygnus atratus) swimming on water. This bird inhabits lakes,rivers and coastal areas in Australia,although it has been introduced to New Zealand and other countries. It is gregarious,sometimes forming groups of several thousand individuals. It mates for life,and couples are highly territorial.
