Caribbean spiny lobster (Panulirus argus) in a defensive position. This lobster inhabits the tropical waters of the western Atlantic Ocean,including the Caribbean Sea. It is primarily nocturnal,hiding by day in a crevice or cave. At night it emerges to feed. It is a scavenger,feeding on carrion,shellfish and plant material.
