Recycling aluminium: bales of crushed drinks cans await shipment to a reclamation smelter at the Alcoa Recycling Company,Edison,New Jersey. The plant receives loose,flattened material from a range of industrial,commercial,municipal & charity sources throughout the North-East US. Used beverage cans (UBCs) are processed into high- density bales which are then shipped to one of Alcoa's two reclamation mills (in Indiana & Tennessee),where the cans are remelted and made into new sheet aluminium.
