The constellation Ursa Major ("Great Bear",or the Plough) seen between trees. In the centre of the frame is Phekda,with the two 'pointer stars' Dubhe and Marak slightly toward the lower right. The fourth of the stars that comprise the Plough's 'blade' is the faint Megrez (slightly above right of Phekda),the three bright stars forming the 'handle' running toward top left being (from bottom to top) Alioth,Mizar and Alkaid.
