Cirrus and cumulus clouds. Cirrus clouds (upper right) are wispy,high-level clouds occurring between 6000 & 14,000 metres,composed of ice crystals. Cumulus clouds (centre) are low-level clouds occurring below 2000 metres,composed mainly of water droplets. They are often described as looking like lumps of cotton wool.
