Seized hazardous toy dolls. These toy dolls were among more than 200,000 seized by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) investigators. They were being imported from China and were seized due to containing high levels of phthalates,a group of banned chemical compounds. A total of ten shipments valued at nearly 500,000 USD were seized at the ports of Chicago,Dallas,Los Angles,Norfolk,Memphis,Newark,Portland and Savannah. Photographed on 5 November 2013 | |
