Small snowflake with sectored branches. The outer hexagonal area was formed when the six branches grew very close to each other, eventually fusing together. This tiny crystals only measures 0.9mm across, and if the image were to be reproduced at 10cm,it would have a magnification factor of 84x. Image is a composite of multiple frames required to achieve sharpness across the entire crystal. Photographed on a black woollen fabric | |
