Snowflake with fewer branches through most of it's growth, but fern-like branches at some of the tips. This could be caused by the crystal falling through a layer of higher humidity on it's way to the ground, where aerodynamic factors play a role. This snowflake measures 3.6mm in diameter across the longest branches, which results in a 29x magnification for the entire image when printed at 10cm | |
