The Miniatus Grouper or Coral Rock-Cod,Cephalopholis miniata,inhabits the Indo-Pacific west to the Red Sea and the East African coast. It can be found down to 150 meters depth. Juveniles may have fewer and larger spots than adults but have all of the colour intensity of adults. This species feeds primarily on small fish and crustaceans.
