Ruins after Messina earthquake of 1908. This earthquake took place in Messina on the Italian island of Sicily,on 28 December 1908. It had a moment magnitude of 7.1 and triggered tsunamis that devastated the surrounding coastlines. The cities of Messina and Reggio Calabria were almost completely destroyed.
