Grey Wolves. View of two grey wolves (Canis lupus) standing over a deer kill in the snow. The wolves are displaying aggresive gestures towards each other. A fully grown grey wolf has a body length of 100-140 cm and a body weight of 18-80 kg. It preys on large herbivores such as elk,bison and mountain sheep as well as deer. The grey wolf lives in packs of 5-15 individuals. It is found mainly in North America and Asia,however there are residual populations in Mexico,Europe and Scandinavia.
