Grey Wolves. View of grey wolves (Canis lupus) feeding on a deer kill in the snow. A fully grown grey wolf has a body length of up to 140 cm and a body weight of up to 80 kg. It preys on large herbivores such as elk,bison and mountain sheep as well as deer. The grey wolf lives in packs of 5-15 individuals. It is found mainly in North America and Asia,however there are residual populations in Mexico,Europe and Scandinavia. The grey wolf is an endangered species in all American states except Alaska.
