Capybara (Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris) resting on mud. The capybara is the largest rodent in the world. It inhabits vegetation around water in South America,east of the Andes. It feeds on leaves and grasses,and may attain 130 centimetres in length and nearly 80 kilograms in weight. The capybara lives in groups of 20 or so individuals,led by a dominant male.
