African pygmy mouse (Mus sp.). This tiny rodent inhabits southern Africa. It is nocturnal,feeding mainly on grains and fruits. It is one of the smallest rodents,reaching a length of around four centimetres,excluding the tail. It can leap great distances for its size,over 50 centimetres in some cases.
