Vervet monkey (Cercopithecus aethiops). This primate lives in savannah and scrubland in most of Africa south of the Sahara,by forest edges and running water. It usually lives in groups of about 20 individuals, but much larger groups have been seen. Over much of its range it is near humans and often raids cultivated land, stealing fruits, flowers and seeds.
