Nesting kittiwake (Rissa sp.). The kittiwake is a small gull that lives on the open sea for much of the year,coming ashore only to breed. Its nest is built on shoreline cliffs and is constructed from mud,grass and seaweed. The female incubates between one and three eggs for a period of 25 days.
