Eurasian wigeons (Anas penelope) swimming. These dabbling ducks grow up to 50 centimetres in length,with a wingspan around 71-80 centimetres. They breed in northern Europe and Asia and migrate south in winter to Great Britain and beyond. They inhabit open wetlands and feed by dabbling for plant food or grazing.
