Saddle-billed stork (Ephippiorhyncus senegalensis) fishing. The saddlebill,so-called because of the yellow saddle on its beak,is one of the tallest storks, reaching up to 145 centimetres in height. It is a wading bird that feeds mostly on fish, spearing them with its bill or sweeping the water to find them by touch. It also feeds on frogs and small mammals. It nests in the tops of trees or bushes near water and is found in most of sub- Saharan Africa. Unlike most birds, the adults do not call, but communicate by rattling their bills.
