Marine iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus) on a rock. This is the only truly marine lizard. It is found around the coasts of the Galapagos Islands. It spends much of its time in the water feeding on seaweed and algae near the shore. It is a large lizard,with some individuals reaching nearly 2 metres in length.
