Australian snake-necked turtle (Chelodina longicollis) swimming underwater. This turtle is found in freashwater swamps,lakes and slow-moving waterways throughout south-eastern and southern Australia. The carapace (shell) can be around 30 centimetres across at maturity. It's long neck helps it to hunt its prey of tadpoles,frogs,small fish and crustaceans.
