Royal angelfish (Pygoplites diacanthus) swimming over corals. This fish,also known as the regal angelfish,inhabits coral reefs in the tropical Indo-Pacific region. It feeds mainly on sponges and sea squirts,and can reach a length of up to 25 centimetres. Its vivid colouration has made it a popular fish in the aquarium trade,although it is difficult to keep.
