Longnose hawkfish (Oxycirrhites typus) perching on a sponge next to a sea whip. This fish feeds on small invertebrates. It inhabits the steep outer slopes of coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region and can grow up to 10 centimetres in length. A sea whip (red strand) is a colony of small anemone- like creatures.
