Moray eel (family Muraenidae) emerging from a hole on a coral reef. It is holding its mouth open to allow water to flow over its gills. Its gaping jaws expose sharp teeth, with which it catches its prey of other fish and invertebrate such as crabs and octopuses. Tube nostrils,or nares,on its snout give it an excellent sense of smell.
