Picasso triggerfish (Rhinecanthus assasi) male guarding his eggs (not seen). Triggerfish pairs build a nest for their eggs, which may be defended against predators by either parent. The Picasso triggerfish is found in shallow, sandy areas of coral reefs in the western Indian Ocean. It feeds on small invertebrates such as crustaceans and may reach a length of 30 centimetres.
