Sea slug or nudibranch (Nembrotha kubaryana). This nudibranch, which can reach 6 centimetres in length,is found on the outside of coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region. It has two projections (orange, upper left) that act as scent receptors and are used to detect food. Nudibranches are carnivorous and may store toxins from their prey in their bodies for use against predators. The bright body colour is a warning that they are poisonous | |
