Wright Flyer preparing for take-off at the Wright flying school. Orville Wright along with Charlie Taylor (the Wright brothers' mechanic) set up the school in Montgomery,Alabama,USA in March 1910. Initially five pilots were trained to form the Wright exhibition team,which first performed in Indianapolis in June 1910. One of the team's pilots,Arch Hoxsey,took president Theodore Roosevelt on his first airplane ride in October 1910. The team was disbanded in November 1911 due to the deaths of several members.
