The first ever powered flight was made by Orville Wright on 17 December 1903 at Kill Devil Hill,Kitty Hawk,North Carolina,USA. The flight lasted 12 seconds and covered a distance of 36. 6 metres. Following these trials,this model will be displayed in the lobby of the Federal Aviation Administration in California. The data gathered from these trials will allow a replica to be built,which will be flown at Kitty Hawk to mark the 100th anniversary of powered flight | |
