Pressure valve. Hand adjusting a pressure valve. This is a device that allows the monitoring of the pressure in a system, and well as releasing excess pressure if needed. The dial measures the pressure in bars. One bar is 100,000 Pascals (the standard unit of pressure),and is approximately equal to atmospheric pressure. The pressure here is 24 bars (24 times atmospheric pressure). For comparison,a car tyre or pressure cooker only use pressures of 2-3 times atmospheric pressure. Industrial pumps can exceed several hundred bars of pressure. This gauge can measure up to 100 bars of pressure | |
