Galletted wall consisting of stones pressed into mortar joint. This is a very decorative building technique with the main purpose to reduce the amount of mortar used. This also reduces the amount of shrinking that occurs. The mortar is a mixture of cement, lime or clay and water and is used for pointing and bedding masonry.
